There is just something special about Qatar Airways Business Class Qsuites. It feels more like a top-notch first-class product and it is by far the best business class out there. Not only that but it is also the cheapest if you are smart enough and use the tips we will share with you and can be booked for as low as €1,200. Additionally, it comes with some hefty perks when you wish to have a layover in Doha such as paying €30 and staying at the Grand Hyatt which on a good day it will set you back €500.
Why we booked?
Our motive was to collect as many tier points and credit them to British Airways frequent flier program which earned Silver status in the roundtrip from Stockholm to Thailand with a stop in Doha and less than €1,500.
How we booked?
On January we were flying to Thailand but departed from London. If we booked straight from London to Thailand in Qatar Airways business class we would pay at least €3,000, however we noticed that if you depart from a Scandinavian country (Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Sweden) you would pay half of this and we choose Stockholm (ARN).
Insider's tip = If you have an American Express Platinum or Centurion card you can access the 'American Express Lounge by Pontus' at ARN serving top-notch Michelin-level food and relax before a long-haul flight.
How was the flight?
After a quick 'relocation flight' to Stockholm airport and champagne at Pontus lounge we were more than ready to experience the A350-1000 Qatar Airways business class.
From bottomless champagne, meals anytime you prefer and pajamas! I even requested a Freddo Cappuccino which is a Greek cold cappuccino; they made it perfectly, I fell in love. The crew was lovely, always checking up if I wanted something extra and constantly surprising me amazing dishes. It was a unique experience and in my opinion this is the BEST BUSINESS CLASS out there and nothing compares with the hospitality of the Middle Eastern airlines. This is First Class for the price of premium economy.
